Our first-ever campaign, "Say No to Veal," was successful in convincing Salonica to stop serving veal in January 2004.

Veal (the meat of calves) is one of the most cruelly produced animal products there is. In order to make the calves' flesh white and tender, veal calves are fed a diet completely unsuitable to them and kept in small crates that don't allow them to move. The diet makes them anemic, and the crates cause them to never develop muscle, resulting in the particulat kind of meat that restauranteurs serve.

This campaign is part of a national effort organized by Farm Sanctuary. For more information, go to NoVeal.Org
